Introduction

はじめに

Kaiseki in Arashiyama, with a relocated shoin-style room.

A kaiseki restaurant in Saga Tenryuji, Arashiyama, Kyoto. Kitcho began in 1930 as a small Japanese restaurant opened by Teiichi Yuki in Shinmachi, Osaka, and the grounds of a villa he acquired in 1948 became the present Arashiyama main restaurant. The "Taikotei" room is an early-Meiji shoin-style building relocated to Arashiyama in 1962.
